Our
prices depend on the type of the shoot, length of shoot and usage
of the images. Just call us at 323.464.4728 or shoot us an email
for information.
But...what
is the same for all jobs is that we donate
10% of all our photography proceeds to charity.
Every 6 months we will select 1 charity in each of the following
categories:
.
Health
. Society
. Animals / Environment
You
as the client can choose which charity you want us to donate the
10% of your shoot to and we'll write the check.
How
this came about:
On January 2, 2005 we adopted Chaplin, a tortoiseshell kitten
from a rescue organization here in Los Angeles. On June 5, we
adopted Buster, a 12 week-old Australian Shepherd. With a puppy
comes puppy classes and we came across Raise with Praise.
We
found out that all the proceeds of the group classes go to elementary
school programs which advocate and promote the principles of nonviolence:
kindness, compassion, and respect for all living things. By teaching
children to practice nonviolence with animals, these nonviolent
behaviors can be directly linked to practicing nonviolence with
themselves, other people, and the environment.
Inspired,
we set about the idea of giving a percentage of our income to
organizations that could really use it.
Special
thanks to Chaplin and Buster!
The Charities for January 1
- June 30, 2007:
Nalauwaki
Village, Waya Island, Fiji
On our travels we had the pleasure to visit this village.
Nalauwaki is home to about 200 people who live in a hodge-podge
of traditional thatch bures (Fijian huts), corrugated tin structures
and buildings made of cinder blocks. The effect is that of a shantytown.
Many buildings having no doors and almost all having no windows
and dirt floors. Still, many of the villagers merrily chimed out
“Bula” (meaning "Hello" / "Welcome")
as we passed their dwellings.
On
entering the village a young man blew a conch shell to alert the
villagers that we had arrived. We were given permission to take
photographs and most of the children struck poses with thumbs
up sign and then couldn’t wait to see the picture in the
back of the digital cameras. The friendliness and charm of the
people was pervasive and delightful. Such
is the sense of community and hospitality in this place that despite
their lack of material comforts, which we've come to expect, one
couldn't help but wonder if perhaps they had it right.
Money
raised will go to repairing the satelite telephone dish which
would give the village its only line of communication to the outside
world. When we were there the phone had been down for over 7 months.
We'd like to see it working again.

Marine
Mammal Conservancy
While in Kaikoura (New Zealand) we had the great fortune to experience
swimming with wild Dusky Dolphins. We are pleased to support the
Marine Mammal Conservancy.
The mission of the Marine Mammal Conservancy is to provide professional
and effective response and care for stranded marine mammals. Through
this effort they will add to the overall understanding of marine
mammals on both the scientific and public fronts. Via data collection,
during both necropsies and rehabilitation, and through public
education they will help ensure the success of an inspiring and
threatened group of animals.

Cancer
Research Institute
Last year we lost a very dear friend to cancer. Unfortunately
cancer touches too many lives. In memory of our friend, Ans, we
will be supporting a cancer charity. Her family asked for donations
to go to Cancer Research.
